Looking for an early Saturday casual dinner (4:30) as most restaurants were not open until 5:00. We were greeted and seated promptly. Love the location on the river front and in a historic building. Michelle was our server and she was knowledgeable and fun. Had the Oyster Rockefeller as a starter. Absolutely fabulous!! Main entrees were the Shrimp and Sausage Creole and Pine Bark Stew. Both were spot on with fresh seafood and such a treat on a cold day. The garlic bread rolls that came with the Stew good thing was enough for two as I mopped up every bit of the creole sauce (should serve same bread with the Creole dish). Well done and thank you Michelle for making it a great casual experience and kudos to the chef.
We dined Thursday August 22nd at 6pm. I wish I remembered our waitresses name but she was very polite and thorough. She was able to give us recommendations on every part of the menu. She seemed to enjoy her job, which is hard in the service industry. I hope you know that she's an asset to your restaurant, very sweet and accommodating. I hope she makes her trip to New York, she deserves it!
We had great service from our server Mandi. She was very attentive and friendly. My raspberry spinach salad was great and would highly recommend it. My husband got the hush puppies and peel and eat shrimp. He loved the hush puppies but thought the shrimp was average. I would recommend giving this place a try.
Very enjoyable Lunch! Fried food was tasty and clean (NOT oily tasting)! Staff were very attentive and polite. Nice casual atmosphere similar to many of the nicer fried seafood places Ive been too. TVs are available on the bar side of the restaurant. Table area was great for conversation. We enjoyed the signature drinks!
